Greetings!

My name is Roxanne, I am founder of Simply Kids Wellness, a mum of 3, and Wellness Advocate after almost 20 years of working in the healthcare field with children and their families. I love the energy that kids give and have made it my mission to help them with a holistic approach that enhances the mind, body and spirit connection.

As a child I had a passion and zest for life using my energy, imagination and inquisitive nature to play and learn, well before technology devices kicked in. Children nowadays have so many more options for playing and learning but can often be challenged with finding balance in their physical, mental and emotional care. I listened to parents’ concerns regarding their children’s wellbeing and could relate to them after having my own children. It was these concerns that made me realise that it can be hard to find a place to start when supporting our kids’ wellbeing. This inspired me to create a platform from one mum to another to encourage simplicity back into kids’ health and wellness approaches.

I love the African proverb that states “It takes a village to raise a child”. I believe we all have a role to play as parents and across all health fields to share and combine information that plays a role in bringing up our children in our global village. This space is not meant to offer or replace any medical or therapeutic advice but rather share information on healthy living concepts and ideas for kids from babies to teens. Ideas from mindfulness, exercise, nutrition and rest are just some of the simple activities that can be easily implemented. Let’s get back to the basics with connecting to our children, embracing them wholeheartedly and nurturing their spirits! From my family to yours.
